Abingdon Rugby Club will hold it's first major social event of the year, on Saturday 29th January, starting at noon. Club Prsident Neil Crossley will host a lunch at the Clubhouse. All Club VPs, members, supporters and their partners are warmly invited, to what promises to be a wizard event.

The First XV are at home that day, kicking off at 2.30 pm. The game is against Chipping Norton, traditionally one of our most fierce Oxfordshire rivals. This is a chance to watch our team play the open and exciting style of Rugby, which has proved so successful this season.

The cost of the Event is £20 per head. This includes a 3 course meal followed by tea and coffee, prepared by Jenny Piper, and her team. Of course the Bar will be open, and table wine will be available, as well as oceans of beer.

There will be a chance to sponsor the player of the match, and a raffle. A guest speaker will be making speech, suitable for the limited time available over lunch.

If you wish to attend, please contact VP secretary Nick McKeown. We are grateful to those members who allowed our Club to hold onto their payments for the lunch cancelled at the start of the Covid lockdown last March. We particularly hope to see you at the Clubhouse this time round.
