History was made at Lambrick Way last week as an Abingdon RFC Ladies team took to the home pitch for the first time ever, and marked the occasion with a win. The team, which was newly formed at the beginning of the season, ran out winners over local rivals Gosford All Blacks with tryscorers Sarah Kime getting a hat-trick and Jo Rowbotham a brace. They were joined on the scoreboard by Zoe Pratley, Kate MacArthur-Grunwald, Cara Hambridge and Kayleigh Wiliams.
Coach Nick McKeown said "This was a great way to sign off our first season and shows how far the team have come in a short space of time. All of the players have worked hard and can be very proud of themselves."
